Rarity System
How it works
|
Any piece of equipment a monster drops has a chance of coming out with a rarity. A rare piece keeps everything the normal one has and adds extra stats of its own, and it is framed with a coloured border in your inventory and backpacks so you can spot it at a glance. Rarities only come from monsters. The tougher the creature, the better your chances. Every rare piece rolls its own stats, so no two are alike — two legendary swords can be completely different weapons. Rare items can still be forged: their rarity and stats survive the tier upgrade. They cannot be sold to NPCs or offered on the Market, because both trade by item type and your rolled stats would be lost. Trade them player to player. |
The four rarities
The rarity decides how strong each stat is. How many stats a piece
gets is rolled separately, and getting all four is rare.
|
What each piece can roll
The weapon skill always matches the weapon: an axe rolls axe fighting, never
sword fighting. Elemental protection picks one of
fire, ice, energy, earth, death when the item drops.
